April 12 Fund Raiser for Bryan Davies, a local all round good egg known as ‘Yogi’ recently paralyzed from the neck down. Ysgol Y Berwyn, Bala, North Wales, 7.30pm, £6. I perform with a new Gypsy Jazz Line-up featuring Andy Mackenzie on guitar. The full Brythoniaid Male Voice Choir will also be performing along with other talented young musicians and singers.
April 15 International Jazz Guitar Spectacular with a line-up picked to celebrate the links between the USA, the birthplace of jazz, the Port of Liverpool and North Wales. Featuring one of today's most celebrated American guitarists, Howard Alden, Liverpool's Gary Potter and Welsh guitarist Trefor Owen with Billy Thompson (violin) & Bill Coleman (double bass). Howard Alden did the music to Woody Allen's classic comedy 'Sweet & Lowdown' and Gary Potter is just brilliant. It's part of the Liverpool city of culture celebrations.
